For my situation I have read this novel in a week in record time. I happened to really like I just could not put this book out of the hands. At any moment that there was, I read it.

I found the film adaptation of the novel succeeded quite well, the book is worlds better. The time to roll up to the events and to fill in details, is simply greater.
If you begrudge, as I am a fan of Hannibal Lecter in, then you this novel, it is worth it!
