"From Facebook is talking to five or six years, no longer a man." This statement has Horx Matthew - self-appointed trend researchers in July 2010 probably in an interview disclosed.
He does not believe the future of social networks. The way how the mainstream user is using the Internet is going to change dramatically in the next ten years. When asked about trends and technology experts who play primarily the key words safety and usefulness of a meaningful role. Matthias Horx is convinced that "Social networks are already well beyond its hype." Massive waves are phasing in the U.S. already a reality.
I too am of the view that Facebook & Co. are completely overrated in many areas and as XING passed its zenith already or how MySpace had to specialize in a target group in order to survive. But through all these new networks, the communication has changed between people. email is at least in the private sphere pushed further and further into the background and often serves only as a transporter for evidence that there is something new as in Facebook for me. In the U.S. you will be asked by younger generations no longer an email address, but the call "Facebook Me" has prevailed. (Zones) The opportunity in a fast paced across borders and across time to be able to stay connected, just great. Just Twitter is next Wikipedia and some very valuable for me BLOGs become a true knowledge forum.
If Horx says, the end of social networks is close (he speaks of 5 to 6 years), then I say: "It is only now going right." The Facebook in a few years no longer has this role, as now, but we would not really be a prophet. That would be spectacular, as if to say of him: "We are getting older!" or "Political parties will no longer exist in this form of short or long!".
I put the statement of Mr Horx in my digital calendar once for re-submission in July 2016. Let's see what has happened so far ... hopefully There are still digital calendars!
